New Offering: Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG)
Freshwater Chiropractic has recently purchased the isynchme QEEG helmet. This incredible technology both measures Brain waves, giving us and objective measure of functional brain connectivity and activity AND treatment options for individual prescribed Photobiomodulation therapy (PBM) or red light therapy to improve brain function. We are currently training in QEEG measurement and this technology will be available for both our chiropractic clients and Neurobalance clients in early July.
Quantitative Electroencephalogram or a QEEG, is a tool that measures electrical activity through the surface of the head in the form of brain wave patterns. These include delta, theta, gamma, beta, and alpha brain waves. A QEEG converts these into a map of the brain that can then be used to choose treatment.
iMediSync has researched and developed the iSyncMe. It can perform a dry QEEG in around 10 minutes, uses Artificial Intelligence to analyse and summarize the QEEG, pre and post intervention monitoring and can create 3D QEEG Brain Mapping. iMediSync spent 8 years researching and creating the world’s largest age and sex-classified database.
In regards to the QEEG, this can help clinicians map abnormal areas or networks that could be as a result of neurological or psychiatric disorders. Additionally, it can measure heart rate variability, with integrated health and stress assessments. Further, neurofeedback is a brand new feature, launched in December 2024.
Specifically, the iSyncMe can perform QEEG guided photobiomodulation. Photobiomodulation is a low-level light therapy that applies light, commonly either red or in the infrared spectrum, to stimulate biological processes. Specifically, near-infrared LED light penetrates the skull and brain tissues at a rate six times higher than red LED. When certain wavelengths of light penetrate the skin and underlying tissues, it can influence the cellular processes at a molecular level. Photobiomodulation safety and efficacy have been demonstrated by US Navy and Harvard Medical school studies. Photobiomodulation can reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and promote tissue repair.
Freshwater Chiropractic/BrainShape has acquired the iSyncMe helmet and will begin to use it in office for:
Programs
Objective testing
Pre and post treatment scans
